5th Forum for the Future of Agriculture (FFA 2012)

Syngenta and the European Landowners’ Organization (ELO) are delighted to announce that The Forum for the Future of Agriculture (FFA 2012) is back! On March 27th 2012, the annual FFA conference will celebrate its 5th anniversary in Brussels, with what is set to be its best line up of speakers to date.

The title of FFA2012 is “Meeting the Food & Environmental Challenge: Resource efficiency, innovation and governance”. It will be specifically looking at:

·         the global importance of agriculture

·         a case study on Brazilian agriculture

·         the role of innovation in European agriculture

·         the ongoing CAP reform and a look at how to reconcile agricultural productivity with the environment.

The conference will once again be chaired by Franz FISCHLER - former Commissioner for Agriculture. Other speakers so far confirmed include Dacian CIOLOS- Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Janez POTOCNIK - Commissioner for Environment, Franciskus VAN DAELE - Chief of Staff to Herman Van Rompuy and José Manuel SILVA RODRĺGUES  – DG AGRI. These 4 speakers give you a taste of FFA2012, and we look forward to confirming more speakers in the coming weeks and months.
